On April 1st, 2022, CRANE hosted our first ever Asian Artist Showcase! The showcase is an opportunity for Asian American artists from all across the United States (but specifically North Carolina) to showcase their works. Our initiative for this event was to provide representation to aspiring Asian American artists and connect with other artists making work that includes Asian narratives.
CRANE is once again hosting the Asian Artist Showcase with our new theme, 'Fluorescence' The 2024 showcase will take place on March 29th, 2024 at the Piedmont-Mountains Ballroom at Talley Student Union of NC State University from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

The 2024 Asian Artist Showcase theme is Fluorescence. Fluorescence is dedicated to the brilliance that the artists in our community each ignite — to those who flow in different wavelengths, designing a vibrant spectrum. This showcase seeks to shine a spotlight on the artistic frequencies that resonate within our darkest corners.
What should I expect as an attendee at the showcase?

We are glad you asked! Visual artists can showcase and/or solicit their works all throughout the venue. We also performers (i.e. dancing, singing, poetry) that performed their art on stage for any attendee to watch. Finally, we will have a series of activities that encourage attendees to think critically about art. This year, we have over 50 artists and 7 performers that are showcasing their works. CRANE recommends that attendees to show up early if they are interested in purchasing certain artworks.

Our tickets operate on a sliding scale basis which is dependent on your own financial ability. Pay either $5.00, $7.50, or $10.00 per ticket. Each ticket will guarantee general admission with no additional benefits or disadvantages! If you do not have the financial ability to pay but would still like to attend, email us at ncsucraneco@gmail.com with the title "SLIDING SCALE."
